Fire Prevention in Your Business
10/3/2019 (Permalink)
The easiest fire prevention methods are usually overlooked. Some of the easiest ways to avoid needing fire damage restoration services are usually some of the quickest to do. Inspect these items today and set reminders accordingly:
- Smoke Detectors - Experts say that you should check these once a month and replace batteries once a year.
- Fire Extinguishers - Check your fire extinguisher to see when it expires and who to call to replace or service your extinguishers. Depending on your fire marshal’s standards, you may need to have your extinguisher certified.
- Fire Exits and Exit Signs. Can you clearly see exit signs? Can you easily get to them? Consider having a fire drill to ensure clients and employees can get out of the building in the event of an emergency. There are some local and state guidelines that businesses have to follow to stay up to code. Take a minute to read up on these laws.
Keeping safe is important. By taking the time to make sure fire safety is taken care of, you can protect your investment.
