Don't Let Water Damage Turn To Mold

Trust The Professionals at SERVPRO of Tarzana and Reseda Here are the facts about mold and carpet:
Just because mold is not visible on carpet doesn’t mean that mold growth is not in progress. Mold is usually only visible on the surface of carpeting in severe cases –such as would commonly occur when the carpet has remained wet for extended periods of time after flooding.
Carpet that has been exposed to flood damage or any standing water for any length of time usually needs to be disposed of because conditions are perfect for mold growth. Even if visible mold growth has not yet started, it’s highly probable that it will happen unless the carpeting is removed, cleaned and dried within 24 to 48 hours. Even then, removing it and cleaning it is not guaranteed to prevent mold growth.
If your home or business has a mold problem, SERVPRO of Tarzana/Reseda can inspect and assess your property and use our specialized training, equipment, and expertise to remediate your mold infestation.
